An agent manifest is one small file, served at /.well-known/agents.json, that tells AI assistants who you are, what your site offers, and what automated visitors are allowed to do. This tool reads your site the same way our free Assessment does and drafts that file for you. Anything it cannot read from your site comes out as an obvious placeholder instead of a guess.
About this tool
Reads your website the same way our free Agent-Readiness Assessment does and drafts an agents.json manifest from what the site already states: your name, your description, your language, and the sections an agent can visit. The result is correctly structured by construction, with every block in its place inside the site object.
Anything the tool cannot read from your site comes out as an unmistakable placeholder rather than a guess, and the page lists exactly which fields were read from your site and which ones you still need to fill in before you publish the file.
When you’d use it
- You ran the free Assessment, it reported that you publish no agent manifest, and you want a correct starting file instead of writing one by hand.
- You already publish a manifest but the scanner flags structural problems with it, and you want a corrected draft to compare against your file.
- You are launching a new site and want the manifest, the robots.txt line, and the discovery link sorted in one sitting.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this tool store my domain or the generated manifest?
- No. Unlike most tools on this site it does run on our server, because it has to fetch your pages the way an agent would, but the server reads your site, builds the draft, returns it to this page, and keeps nothing.
- Why does the file say REPLACE THIS in places?
- Those are the fields we could not read from your site, such as what actions you want agents to take on your behalf. We would rather hand you an obvious placeholder than invent a business fact, so fill those in before you publish.
- Is the generated file valid before I edit it?
- Structurally, yes: it passes the same required checks our scanner runs, even with the placeholders still in place. It only becomes useful to agents once the placeholder text says something true about your business.
