Online stores
An online store set up properly, on the platform that fits your business
Choose a platform
Each platform suits a different kind of business. The prices cover the build. The platform's own subscription and card fees are paid directly by you.
Square Online store
$1,250
For a shop or café already using Square at the counter, with a small catalogue and pickup or local delivery.
A Square Online store of up to six pages and 25 products, matched to the items and stock in your Square till, with payments, tax, shipping or pickup, and your domain set up and tested.
Copywriting, photography, and paid apps are not included. Your Square plan and account stay in your name.
Shopify store
from$2,000
For a business selling products online, including print-on-demand, that expects its catalogue to grow.
A Shopify store of up to six pages with up to 25 products, or your product types and first five designs if you sell print-on-demand, plus one fulfilment or sales-channel connection such as Printful.
Larger catalogues and further connections are quoted. Shopify, theme, and app costs are paid directly by you.
WooCommerce store
Quoted
For a store that needs WordPress, or wants to avoid platform transaction fees and is happy to pay for hosting and upkeep.
A WooCommerce store on WordPress, for a business that needs WordPress or wants to avoid platform transaction fees.
Self-hosted, so hosting and upkeep are scoped with the build.
Custom storefront
Quoted
For a store that has outgrown Shopify or WooCommerce, such as one needing custom checkout rules or wholesale pricing.
A storefront built for a store that has outgrown what Shopify or WooCommerce can do.
Quoted after scoping. Most stores are better served by Shopify with a custom theme, and we will tell you if yours is one of them.
Not sure which platform suits you? The free storefront sample comes with our recommendation and the reason for it.
What every store build includes
- Your store set up on the platform, with a theme fitted to your brand
- Up to six pages, including the policy pages the platform requires
- Your starting catalogue, built from your photos, artwork, and product details
- Payments, tax settings, and shipping or pickup rules
- Your domain connected, with the records your email depends on checked
- A real test order through checkout, refunded afterwards
- Checks on phones and desktops
- Two rounds of revisions, and a 30-day fix window after launch
- A short written guide, with every account in your name
Copywriting, photography, paid apps and themes, and advertising are not included. Payments always go through the platform's own checkout or a provider such as Square, Shopify Payments, or Stripe, so card details never pass through our systems.
Start with a free storefront sample
Send us your current website or social page and a few of your products. We build a sample of your store's home page, laid out the way it would look on the platform we would recommend, using your own logo, products, and photos, and tell you what the full build would cost. If it is not right for you, you owe nothing.
Moving from another platform
If you already sell on Square, Wix, Squarespace, Etsy, or another platform, moving your products and redirecting your old pages is part of the build for catalogues of up to 25 products. Larger catalogues, and customer or order history, are quoted.
Example stores
Demonstration stores use invented businesses to show the pages and ordering steps we set up on each platform. Client stores appear with their owners' permission.

Demonstration
Order-ahead bakery on Square Online
An invented bakery that already sells at the counter and takes orders ahead for pickup or local delivery. It shows the pages and ordering steps we set up on Square Online: item options, a pickup time, sold-out items, and whole cakes ordered for a set date.

Demonstration
Pottery studio on Shopify
An invented pottery studio that sells online and ships across the US. It shows the pages and shopping steps we set up on Shopify: collections with filters, a glaze choice on each product, a slide-out cart with a free-shipping bar, and pages for shipping, returns and care.
Care plans
Once your store launches, a care plan keeps it working and keeps your products current. Plans are optional and month to month.
Care
$99a month
The store keeps working and keeps up with you.
- Tech support for the store and the connections set up with it
- Up to four small changes a month, such as swapping a photo, updating a price, or editing a paragraph
- Each change made within two business days
- New products and designs added at the per-item price in your build quote
- A yearly check of your policy pages and any licence or partner notices
Care Plus
$149a month
For a store that adds products every month.
Everything in Care, plus:
- Up to eight small changes a month in total
- Up to four new products or designs a month, included
- New products and designs added within five business days of final artwork or product details
- Unused products and designs roll over, up to twelve
How the plans work
- Either plan, or neither, starts after launch. The 30-day fix window covers the build itself, so you never pay for a plan to get build problems fixed.
- One change is one request to one page or one product, or about twenty minutes of work. A request that touches many products, such as a price rise across the catalogue, counts as more than one, and we tell you how many before we start.
- Tech support covers the store as we built it and the connections set up with it. Apps you add later, problems caused by edits made outside the plan, platform billing or payout disputes, and your email and devices are quoted separately.
- Unused small changes do not roll over. Rolled-over products and designs lapse if you cancel or move from Care Plus to Care.
- Without a plan, small changes are $50 each and new products or designs are added at the per-item price in your quote. Bigger work is quoted.
- Neither plan includes emergency or out-of-hours support.
Questions
- Which platform should I use?
- Most small shops do well on Square if they already use it at the counter, or on Shopify if selling online is the main business. We recommend one with your free sample and explain why. If a custom storefront would not pay for itself, we will say so.
- Who owns the store?
- You do. The platform account, payment account, domain, and any apps are in your name from the start, and you can stop a care plan at any time without losing anything.
- What do I need to provide?
- Your products, prices, photos, any artwork, your logo, and access to your domain. We can start from what is already on your current site or social pages.
- What will the store cost each month to run?
- The platform's own subscription and card fees, paid directly to Square, Shopify, or your host, plus a care plan if you want one. We tell you the platform costs with your sample, before you commit to anything.
- Can you improve a store I already have?
- Yes. Improvements to an existing store are a Website Refresh, and ongoing changes are a care plan.
