Privacy
The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no third party trackers, and shows no ads. The only personal information it ever holds is what you type into one of its two forms, and that is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. We do not sell or share your information with anyone, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
The longer version follows, and it is written to be checkable. Where we name a number, it is the number in the code.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see aggregate traffic and performance: which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and how fast pages load. Both are cookieless by design. They do not build a profile of you, do not follow you to other sites, and do not give us any way to identify an individual visitor.
Cookies
The site sets none. If you use the light and dark mode toggle, your choice is saved in your own browser's local storage so the site can remember it; that value never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
The contact form
The contact form collects your name, your email address, and your message. The sample rebuild request form collects your website's domain and your email address. In both cases the submission is emailed to our own mailbox so we can reply to you, and a copy is stored for 90 days so a delivery failure cannot lose your message. After 90 days the stored copy is deleted automatically. We use what you send to respond to you and for nothing else.
The free assessment
When you run the free assessment, we fetch the public pages of the site you point us at and store the results under a random identifier so the result link can be shared. The stored result describes the site that was scanned, not the person who ran the scan. If you use the option to email a report to someone, the address you enter is used to send that one email and is never stored.
Rate limiting
To keep the free tools and forms usable, the site counts requests per visitor address over short windows. These counters exist to answer one question, which is whether the same address has asked too many times in the last hour, and they expire on their own shortly after the window closes.
Service providers
Like most sites, this one runs on infrastructure we rent rather than own. Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics described above. Upstash provides the database where form submissions and scan results live. Resend delivers our outgoing email. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf to run the site, and none of them is given your information for any other purpose. Everything else, fonts included, is served from our own domain, so loading a page here sends requests to no one but us and our host.
Your information
If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted ahead of the 90 day expiry, email contact@clocktowerassoc.com and a person will handle it. Given what is described above, the honest answer will usually be a form submission or nothing at all.
If our data handling changes, this page changes with it, along with the date below.
